AI is everywhere . . . but many leaders are still trying to sort out what it is, what it isn’t, and how it can affect them and their work.
This one-day workshop breaks down AI in clear, practical terms and explores how it’s already being used in our daily lives and across industries, including the natural gas industry, from operations to administration to safety. Participants will explore how AI is reshaping decision-making and, in turn, work, and why uniquely human skills such as judgment, ethics, communication, and adaptability are more important than ever.
The goal for the conference is simple: help any leader feel informed, confident, and prepared to use AI thoughtfully while leading people effectively.
Speakers:
Michael DeSanto – Director of Data and Artificial Intelligence, Summit Utilities, Inc.
Jay Beam - Safety Professional and Consultant, RBWEA
Jeff Kaufmann – Director of Communications and Professional Development, OGA and MESO
Session Topics:
- What is AI, what is it not?
- How is AI affecting behaviors and the completion of tasks at the workplace and at home?
- How is the natural gas industry using and/or benefiting from AI?
- Leading safety efforts in an AI World
- Building the case for soft skills in an AI World
- A discussion and review (including practical tips for improvement) of the necessary skills to be successful in an AI-focused world
